L'Escale in Fréchet-Aure

This site, on the edge of the path between Fréchet-Aure and Camous, has a dozen or so very short routes in levels 4 and 5 on a red rock that’s a little atypical but very pleasant to climb. The perfect introduction rock for the very young!

La Serre d'Aspin-Aure

The cliff offers short routes in levels 4 to 6 on pretty rock, in a pleasant setting. A beautiful view over the valley emerges on arrival at the belays.
Accessible without an approach walk from the road leading to the Col d’Aspin, this sector offers a comfortable foot of routes. It’s in the shade until 12 noon, so you’re better off climbing in the afternoon in winter!

Balugue

But not just for beginners!

The Balugue cliff, located on the Grézian road leading to Gouaux, offers around thirty routes from 4c upwards, perfect for discovering the activity. But you’ll also find routes up to 7c!

An approach walk of just a few minutes gets you to the foot of the routes, mostly in the shade.

its central location in the valley, the speed of approach and the quality of the rock make it a prime destination when you’re short on time
