Trails accessible to all

Mr. Patou’s trail has two departures: from Pla d’Adet or Espiaube. To get there from the village of Saint-Lary Soulan, you can take the cable car, the gondola (in winter season) or your car (parking at Espiaube and at the entrance to Saint-Lary 1700 near the Bouleaux chairlift).

At each entrance, an information panel details the entire route. Free access and without any difficulty, it is however recommended to take note of the weather forecast and to equip yourself with suitable footwear, warm clothing and waterproofs. Estimated journey time is 45 minutes one way.

Twelve totems to familiarize you with the Pyrenees

The Monsieur Patou trail is fully open from April to November (weather permitting). There are twelve totems along the trail. Each totem asks a question about the fauna, flora or traditions of the Pyrenees. All you have to do is turn each interpretation panel to find out the answer. During the winter season, for safety reasons, Monsieur Patou’s trail may be split into two parts. The boundaries are then marked by barriers.

A chairlift ride

You can take the Bouleaux chairliftand find yourselfat Soum de matteto admire the scenery and don’t forget to take a look at the orientation table.

Thanks to a 180° panoramic view, this orientation table, installed at the arrival of the chairlift , allows you to familiarize yourself with all the surrounding peaks. Easily accessible with the pedestrian pass 🙂
